  • What is Park My Car Share?

    ParkMyCarShare is a platform that allows Car Share hosts and their end customers to legitimately park at off- airport and downtown parking facilities.  ParkMyCarShare has agreements in place with parking facilities and negotiates favorable daily rates, access rights, facility rules, dedicated parking areas, and seamless entry/exit from the facility for car share hosts and their customers.

  • How do I sign up?

    1. Click the green button on this page "Sign Up/ Sign In!"
    2. Complete required info 
    3. Agree to the terms of service by checking the box.
    4. Click Signup.
    5. Boom you did it! 


  • What are the steps to start parking?

    1. Sign up for an account.
    2. Register each of your fleet vehicles 
    3. Activate each of your vehicles- we ship you a free avi tag for each activation.
    4. Once the tags arrive assign the tag #  to each vehicle and install it.
    5. Boom….you are ready to roll!

  • How do my customers get in and out of the lot?

    There are three potential methods

    • If gated and equipped with PMCS AVI Readers.  The avi tag that is installed on the windshield or on the headlight will be automatically read by the equipment at the facility (like a toll pass).  The gates will open for entry and exit and the customer will follow signs to the park my car share area.
    • If non gated the car once registered and displaying a PMCS AVI Tag can simply park.
    • If gated and not fully equipped with PMCS AVI Readers.  You will still register each vehicle and display the AVI Tag on the windshield, but you will have an additional credential for the parking equipment.
  • What is an AVI tag?

    AVI stands for Automated Vehicle Identification.  AVI tags are commonly used as toll tags.  They are an RFID tag that is in the form of a sticker that is placed either inside the vehicle on the windshield or outside the vehicle on the headlight.

  • How do I order avi tags?

    Once you create an account and put a credit card on file you select the "Tag Ordering" tab and order tags for your fleet.  We suggest you order a few spares so that you can replace them if you replace your windshield etc.

  • What type of AVI tag should I buy?

    Selecting a tag type if fairly simple. 99% of vehicles will use the window tag as it is cheaper and protected from the elements as it is located inside the vehicle. Some mostly higher end vehicles have "Metallic" type windshields that can interfere with the tag working properly. For these you would want a headlight tag. They work just as well, just cost a bit more and have a more limited lifespan as they are exposed to the elements. 

  • How do I assign an avi tag to a vehicle?

    You buy a "City Pass" through the Facility tab for each vehicle and assign the tag numbers to each car.

  • How do I pay for parking?

    Each vehicle has an avi tag that is accociated to a car and to your account.   When the vehicle enters the lot, the system knows and will charge your credit card on file for that day of parking and so on.  For non gated lots you must buy the unlimited pass.

  • How does the billing work?

    • When you sign up for an account you put a credit card on file.
    • Vehicle  subscription is required  $5.99/vehicle/month
    • Daily Parking Rates, Unlimited Pass & Reserved Space Pricing is available on the parking location information page.  Rates are subject to change.
    • Each time your vehicle enters the lot you will be charged for a parking day.  This gives you in and out privileges for that vehicle until midnight that same day.  After midnight you will be charged for the next day and so on.
    • The credit card on file will be charged each day after midnight for the days parking.
    • Reserved Space Subscriptions are charged to the CC on file on the first of each month.
    • Reserved Space subscriptions are prorated from the day the subscription can first be used.  A full subscription charge will occur on the first of each month thereafter. 

  • Am I required to use Park My Car Share at partner locations?

    Yes- At partner parking facilities ParkMyCarShare is the only authorized method for car share hosts to park.

  • What is pay per use?

    Pay per use is the standard for parkmycarshare utilization.  Each Vehicle has a avi tag and when it is parked in the facility, you will be charged for each day you use.  

  • What is an unlimited?

    At some locations we offer an unlimited add on.  This allows each vehicle to park in the facility or lot as often as you would like for one monthly rate.  The vehicles have to be enrolled in a rental program and must be rented at least 4 tims a month.

  • How do reserved spaces work?

    Reserved space subscriptions are available for purchase at some of our partner facilities and guarantee space availability and signage.  When you buy reserved space subscriptions you prepay for the spaces each month, and the cars in your fleet with active city passes may come and go with no additional daily parking charge.  If your fleet occupancy exceeds the number of reserved space subscriptions then the next car in the lot will simply be charged under the pay per use method. There is a minimum quantity of reserved spaces 4-6 depending on the facility and  and the minimum term is 6 months.  Email services@parkmyshare.com and let us know you are interested in reserved spaces.


  • Does the vehicle need to be active at all times?

    Yes- if the vehicle is being parked at any PMCS facility

  • Does the parking facility ever turn cars away?

    No, as part of the Park my Car Share program, you have guaranteed availlability.  As long as you have your ParkmyCarShare sticker displayed in the window and an active vehicle subscription, the booth attendants will not turn you away. 

  • What if I activate a car in the middle of the month?

    A vehicle subscription is not prorated but does come with one free avi tag.

  • My car has exited but I am still being charged for parking for this car?

    While unlikely it is possible that that your vehicle did not scan out.  If that is the case, our system still thinks you are parked in the carpark. Email us at  services@parkmyshare.com and give us the particulars of when the car came in and out. We will always make it right.

  • How do I contact Park My Share?

  • It seems like I was double charged for 1 day of parking ?

    PMCS bills on a  calendar day, not a 24 hour period.  You can enter and exit the facility from 12:01 am to 11:59pm as often as need be with no additional charge in the same vehicle.  This benefit is there in order to take the car out for a wash/clean with no penalty.    However, if your car is there at 4pm and stayed overnight until 10am, that vehicle will be billed for two days of parking.

  • What is a Chase Car?

    A chase car is a benefit for car share host at all PMCS facilities.   When one of your fleet vehices is marked as chase it may be at the facility for up to 4 hours free of charge.  Each account gets one chase car when you sign up.  At 10 vehicles you get a second one and so on up to a max of 5 chase cars.

  • How do i make one of my fleet vehicles my chase car?

    In the interface there is a chase car tab in the menu.  Once you click this you will see a list of every active vehicle. Select the vehicles you want to mark as chase and hit save.

  • Can I change which one of my cars is my chase car?

    Yes.  You can change which of your fleet vehicles are chase anytime you wish.  Just update from the chase car menu and click save.  This update is instantaneous.

  • Are the AVI tags re-usable?

    No.. the tags need to be permanenly affixed to the windshield.  Once they are installed they can not be removed without destroying the rfid.

  • What happens if i need to replace my windshield?

    You can replace an AVI tag by going to the vehicle list in the interface. You can double click the vehicle and then select- "replace tag".  Enter in the new avi tag number  from one of your spare tags and hit save.  The old tag will be deleted from the system and can never be used again.

  • Where do I park?

    Once you sign up for an account you will see an available parking facility page.  The information of where to park at each facility is located here.  Some locations offer multiple products i.e. covered vs uncovered.  There will be Park My Carshare signage on the lot/garage.

  • Can I assign a tag to any vehicle?

    Yes. If a tag is not currently assigned you may assign it, either by selecting it in your drop down or by manualy entering the tag number.
